A Movie shot list, also called a Log sheet, is a document that contains the list of shots to be taken during the filming. It is a particular type of record of shots being taken while filming. Every take is written down in that shot list while filming (shooting). This shot list is like an inventory that lists and labels the shots to be recorded (or being recorded) throughout the filming. This list helps in filming as well as it makes editing process easier.

A movie shot list is usually organized based on the following information:

1. Movement of the camera
2. Important objects to be added
3. Types of shots
4. Character of shots

However, there is no hard and fast rules for preparing this list; it can vary depending on different facts e.g. the nature or the lenghth of the production, or the director.
