Interpersonal communication is basically interaction among several people. Symbolic image.
Interpersonal communication is the communication that takes place among people. It is important to understand that the word 'interpersonal' indicates the interaction of more than one person. To be precise, it takes at least two persons to be considered as 'interpersonal' in the context of communication.
Purpose of such communication is usually to share some information or thoughts, or to establish or manage a relationship.
Interpersonal communication can take place among different numbers of persons ranging from at least two to more than thousands, or even more!
Interpersonal communication can be named differently (e.g. dyadic, group, or romantic) depending on the number of persons involved in the process and/or considering the context it takes place in.
